One of the topics I have reported on extensively while covering the aftermath of April 16 is the debate over gun rights in America.
Virginia Tech has obviously been one of the most prominent prominent campuses in the debate. Virginia allows its colleges to decide whether they will permit guns on their campuses. Only one Virginia college — Blue Ridge Community College — allows students to carry concealed handguns on campus.
Now, an gun control advocacy group has created this website that has a comprehensive list of American colleges that allow students to carry guns on campus. Also see the Chronicle of Higher education’s post.
Numerous states have recently considered legislation that would grant more American students the ability to carry on campus. The debate usually centers around what would happen if guns were carried on campus. These campuses are the places to look for the answers.
