Underrated newspaper movies

Every aspiring journalist of my generation has seen All the President’s Men, but The Atlantic has put together a list of underrated movies about newspapers. It coincides with the discussion over a new documentary — Page One: Inside the New York Times — that follows some of the paper’s reporters.

I have only seen State of Play, the most recent film on the list. I can’t say I was terribly impressed, but I may attempt to check out a few of the others.

  1. Not sure Absence of Malice is underrated; it was nominated for three Oscars. But you certainly do need to watch “The Paper.” Beautiful, beautiful film.
