The Great Escape by Joshuah Bearman, Wired (from 2007): This is a story that helped inspire/inform the new movie Argo, which is apparently excellent.

On Jay-Z and the Barclays Center by Hua Hsu, Grantland: With the world preparing for Brooklyn’s basketball debut, this was a great meditation on the meaning of an icon.
